How to use our Jollof sauce

There's no need to be a chef in the kitchen, no blending, chopping or measuring. We have cut out the prep. So you can get on with cooking. Just a delicious jollof sauce thats simple to use.

01 HEAT

  • Heat (50ml to 65ml) of oil in a pot.

  • Dice half an onion and fry till translucent [This is a buildable sauce so you have the option to add some tomato purée if you want your jollof rice to be rich in colour]

  • If your adding tomato purée fry until it separates in the pot.

02 POUR

  • Pour your Ennycooks jollof sauce into the pot.

  • Using the Enny Cooks jar, pour 2 jars of water into your pot.

  • Cook for about 5-7 minutes and taste, you can add additional seasoning as you wish.

  • It is important to taste it so you can adjust it to your liking.

03 MEASURE

  • Measure your rice about 350g which works out to be 1 jar and half (using the Ennycooks jollof sauce jar.) Wash your rice until the water  runs clear

  • Lower the heat for your sauce (lowest setting) add your rice, stir very well together and cover with tin foil and place lid on top. 

  • Check at intervals of 7-10min (cooking time approximatly 30 mins)
